People who have just entered US to attend school or work usually will have a rather much money in their bank account as financial back-ups. Opening a bank account for non-resident of U.S. is rather easy. You may visit a bank which opens the service for non-resident. You will have to give a valid ID issued by your government - usually a passport. A credible photo ID will also required. The minimum amount for your account will varied from $5 to more than $100. This way you can still take the money from the American bank's ATMs and will be free of charge.
